Contemporary Policing in the 21st Century


The Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training will host a Contemporary Policing in the 21st Century course on Sept. 11-15 – DOCJT’s Shelbyville Campus.

The course is designed to inform and enhance an officer’s awareness of the topics that are prevalent in policing in the 21st Century. The focus will be officer safety, officer wellness, human trafficking, hazardous device awareness, social media, advancements in police technology, legal updates, policing in times of crisis, and autism and the first responder. The student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the topics through class discussion, graded homework assignments and the end of course written exam. Register using DOCJT’s Acadis portal.
