Reducing Intimate Partner Homicide Through Coordinated Response

The Kentucky Office of the Attorney General, in collaboration with the Geiger Institute, is hosting an in-person conference titled "Reducing Intimate Partner Homicide Through Coordinated Response" on October 14-15 at The Origin Hotel, located at 4174 Rowan in Lexington.

Statistics indicate that domestic violence abusers pose significant risks, not only to their partners but also to law enforcement. It is crucial to intervene early in these cases to prevent further violence. This conference will utilize evidence-based risk assessments to identify cases that are at the highest risk for intimate partner homicide. This will be the first training in Kentucky that provides a comprehensive understanding of the Domestic Violence High Risk Team (DVHRT) model and its role in coordinating intervention strategies aimed at reducing intimate partner homicides.

Due to the popularity of this training course, spots may fill up quickly. To register, please click here.

For attendees traveling from more than 50 miles away, the Office of the Attorney General has a limited number of hotel rooms available at no cost. If you plan to attend or have any questions, please email Robyn Diez d’Aux at Robyn.DiezDAux@ky.gov.
