Organizational Leadership and Problem Solving


The University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute will host an Organizational Leadership and Problem Solving course, Aug. 3-7 at the University of Kentucky Police Department, 152 Transcript Drive in Lexington. This KLEC-approved course combines organizational leadership and the role of problem-solving in a law enforcement agency. Participants will be provided the opportunity to reflect on different leadership models, techniques, and examples. Topics covered include:

  • Organizational leadership

  • Problem solving

  • Problem based learning

  • Team-building

  • Defining leadership

  • Leadership and ethics

  • Leadership models
